The Veterans Memorial was dedicated at Leonard E. Stubbs Park on 255 W. Spring Valley Rd on July 4, 1989. Under the direction of The Centerville-Washington Veterans Memorial Committee, the monument features a ceremonial plaza and walkway near a pond.
Originally dedicated November 11, 2004, the plaza and walkway—upon which the memorial sits-- include bricks with names honoring the veterans of all wars and of those who served in our armed forces. A new enhancement which was dedicated on November 11, 2013 includes five bas relief pieces depicting scenes of service from each military branch.
Commemorative bricks in honor of a veteran or community supporter are available for placement on the plaza and walkway of the Veterans Memorial. There are two sizes, 4 x 8 and 8 x 8. To order, complete the form on the Veterans Memorial Enhancement Brochure and submit to the City of Centerville, 100 W. Spring Valley Road, Centerville OH 45458.
