Property Field Checks
Beginning this week, you may notice contractors with Lexur Appraisal Services doing field checks on homes and properties in the City of Centerville. Ohio law requires Montgomery County to re-evaluate properties values every six years to maintain accurate data. The Lexur contractors are verifying changes in property characteristics by physical appearance and through measuring certain features. They are visiting a small number of homes; the appraisers will not check every property.
- All personnel on this project will wear county-issued photo identification.
- The Centerville Police Department has a list of contractor names as well as the makes and models of their vehicles.
- Project personnel may access driveways or privates lanes to take measurements of properties.
- The work may be done on weekdays and weekends.
The Montgomery County Auditor’s Office hopes to be finished with these field checks in Centerville by mid-July.
